New Sussex mini plays

Catch prize winning new writing in one touring show

Here’s a chance to see six short plays back-to-back in one evening – like a mini fringe festival in one sitting.

Time and Time Again showcases new writing from five Sussex and Surrey writers, on the theme of past, present and future and is being staged by the Pitchy Breath Theatre Company.

Rehearsal for one of the shows

The writers (coincidentally all women) all won a competition run earlier this year as part of Horsham Year of Culture to write plays of up to 25 minutes.

In A Love-letter from the Time of Borderism to the Time of Nuclear Fallout, by Tash Collie, a couple approaching their wedding day prepare their speeches but their minds are on bigger ideas.

Gorgeous Like Something with Antlers, also written by Tash Collie, poses the question if the love of your life begged for a second chance, would you take them back or stick with their best bits?

Rehearsal time

In Block, by Keir Gilbert-Halladey, a playwright is visited by the Ghosts of Writer’s Block Past, Present and Future.

In Limbo from Gaelle Stark-Ordish a life-changing decision brings four estranged friends back together.

Small, by Elodie Foray has one character who’s a star and another who’s a speck… but together they could change the universe forever…

In Stationary by Izzy Radford a delayed train makes two women form an unlikely duo on an empty platform.

Rehearsals in progress

The show, with each mini play running back to back is on at The Rialto, Brighton on Sun 3 Nov, The Hawth, Crawley on Tues 5 Nov, Matthews Yard, Croydon on Fri 8 and The Capitol, Horsham on Sat 9 Nov.
