Sew In Brighton
Muddy says: These fun sewing workshops from a fashion designer will help you run up anything from a dress to, err, nipple tassles, whatever your ability
From absolute beginner to experienced stitcher, Sew in Brighton will help you create new styles, upcycle old ones, alter your vintage finds to fit, and tackle fun projects from making cushions and lampshades to hen party knickers or nipple tassles (yes, really!)
Founder Kat Neeser had her own fashion label Wit & Wisdom for nine years in London with a retail shop, clothing design and production unit and high street concessions with Top Shop, Miss Selfridge, Debenhams and more.
Now she and a team of friendly teachers run 10-12 reasonably-priced classes every week in Brighton & Hove for all levels so you can make and fit clothes, learn to sew from scratch, or tackle knitting and crochet, pattern cutting, designing, lampshade making, alterations and more.
You can bring your own sewing machine or use ones on site.
Planning a hen? Have a giggle making bunting, fascinators, fabric flower corsages, customised knickers, even naughty nipple tassles and more over cake and bubbles in a two hour workshop.
Children’s parties meanwhile can involve youngsters making stuffed toy monsters.
