When pastry chef Giulia O’Lorey creates a cake it is less dessert, more centrepiece. Her stunning designs range from classic vanilla sponge tiers with elegant floral designs, to geometric to whimsical to all-black tiers with contemporary flair.

It all starts with a consultation over a glass of bubbly, and slice of cake, naturally. This is the really fun part, when you can tell Giulia about your ideas for the perfect cake, or let her bring the inspiration to the table.

Every detail of the cake is customisable, from the flavour of each tier to the size, colour, design and each handmade flower designed to match the theme, bouquet, or wedding invitation (seriously – her sugar dahlias look just like the real thing!). She’s even been known to produce lactose free cakes to cater to allergies and intolerances. Check out her Insta for jaw-dropping inspo!

Giulia produces cakes not just for weddings but for any special event for celebrations in Sussex, Oxfordshire, and everywhere in between. Every little detail is considered and there’s added sprinkles of magic like the edible wedding favours, so guests can take a little souvenir home (not that it’s likely to last long because the cakes and favours taste as good as they look!).

Elegantly boxed goodies include macarons in 12 flavours, chocolate covered homemade Oreos, geometric brownie hearts and and bespoke iced biscuits for that personal touch. Whether it’s for favours or a gift for bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride or a thank you for a fabulous photographer/organiser/caterer, they are a really special addition to the big day.
