Ethel Loves Me
Muddy says: Part art gallery, part unique homewares and gift shop, this Rye treasure trove is the place to find stylish, quirky one-offs and maybe learn a skill in a workshop
For all sorts of unique and craft-slanted gifts and homewares head to Ethel Loves Me in Rye.
Right on the High Street in the historic town, the shop, created by a group of friends, is filled with original pieces, limited editions and collectables from local artists and designer-makers.
Art, craft, curios, lifestyle pieces, salvage and unique gifts are all presented in an unusual and upbeat environment.
The gorgeous selection spans the likes of Sussex chocolate to upcycled furniture, via such quirky finds as refillable decoupage washing up liquid containers!
Ethel provides an environment for local creatives to show and sell their work and often gives you the chance to also learn from them.
The team also has an ethical approach including no leather products, eco-thoughful packaging and a focus on buying local.
