Bringing back a lost heritage of deer parks to the beautiful hamlet of West Harting, the family-owned Sky Park Farm opened in 2021. Word has quickly spread about this brilliant new family visitor attraction on the Sussex border near Petersfield, especially among local families.

Kids (and their grown-ups) love walking the trail around the farm and meeting and feeding the beautiful red, white and sika deer, helped by a team of friendly Rangers. And there’s a brilliant Adventure Playground, with forts, slides and plenty of opportunities to clamber around.

Importantly, Sky Park Farm also serves as one of UK’s principal working deer farms, producing sustainable, quality venison. There’s loads of opportunity for curious kids (and grown-ups) to ask questions. With notice, organised groups can also learn more at The Deer Hub education centre.

Venison is, of course, always on the menu at The Grazing Rooms and on sale in the new Farm Shop and Butcher, along with other brilliant local produce. There’s a 30-mile mission, with 40% of products and ingredients sourced within 30 miles and a further 40% from within Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex.

Hungry tummies can be filled with freshly made sandwiches and snacks, or pick up a picnic bag from either the Visitor Centre or Farm Shop – finished off with an ice-cream or fresh milkshake. You can even buy something for supper from the Farm Shop and Butcher, with everything for pantry, fridge or freezer – and cute, child-sized shopping trolleys to the make shopping fun!
