Mud Monsters fun runs
Get your muddy kicks on these fun Sussex obstacle course runs - we've a pair of tickets up for grabs!
Up for getting more than your stilettos muddy? Here’s possibly the most fun way to challenge yourself alongside your partner, friends or family.
Mud Monsters Run is based in the Sussex countryside near East Grinstead and offers friendly obstacle course runs where all abilities are welcome.
There are 5km, 10km and 20km circuits to choose from, so if you’re averagely fit you can drag yourself round having a laugh in the process, or, if you’re more hardcore, you can come over all commando and tackle up to 120 obstacles along your way. We’re talking, slides, walls, tyres, streams, monkey bars and more..!
What ever your distance, everyone who takes part gets a medal, free photos and very muddy!
Muddy Stilettos Surrey’s ed Amber took part in a previous Mud Monster run with friends, she says: “It was such a laugh, but you do feel like you’ve really achieved something at the end of the day. There’s also a real sense of everyone pitching in to help each other out – whether it’s a boost up to get over an obstacle or encouragement. There’s a real camaraderie.”
If you’ve keen teens they can join the 5km or 10km adult race but 13-15s must run with an adult. Kids needn’t miss out on the fun either – there’s a separate Mud Monsters Ninjas race for up-for-it 4 – 13s.
The runs are scheduled in waves throughout the day and there’s onsite camping available from just £5 a tent so it’s easy to be on site in time if you live further afield.
You’ll get 10% off your entry fee if you sign up for a team of 10 or more, so why not get your mates or your fitness club to join you?
The next Mud Monsters challenge is up on 9 June, with early bird priced tickets on sale until 2 March. What’s more, we’ve a pair of free tickets up for grabs for one lucky (plucky) Muddy reader!
One winner will receive 2 x adult tickets for the Mud Monsters Run on 9 June near East Grinstead.
