Woo-hoo its the Muddy Sussex Awards drinks!

The best in the biz came, saw and partied at the fabulous Trading Boundaries in Sheffield Green last week for the 2021 Muddy Stilettos Awards - want to see what we got up to?

After the last 18 months we were all ready to party and the Bluebell Vineyard fizz was flowing even before the winners arrived at the most highly contested local indie awards in the UK. After stuffing the goody bags and signing the certificates, Muddy were ready to meet and greet the winners and this year there were over 75,000 businesses entered and 850,000 votes cast across all the Muddy counties. Interest from Sussex was unprecedented, so it’s a massive achievement and right that we celebrated!

As the guests mingled in the sunshine, star snapper Rose Bainsbridge captured their best sides whilst videographer Clare from Bright Light Media gave them the full VIP experience.

The Muddy team Maddy and Sally greet the lucky winners

Sponsored by County Mall, the one stop shopping centre in Crawley (which we discovered isn’t easy to say after a few glasses of Hindleap Rose!) we soon soaked up the bubbles with a little too much delicious High Weald Dairy cheese, Sussex crisps and our personalised cupcakes by Marples Cakery. That’s all the food groups isn’t it?

As well as the accolades, the lucky winners received a bulging goody bag courtesy of some other great Sussex businesses including Seven Seventeen Candles, Generation 11 Gins (we do love a Gin at Muddy), JuiceUp health shots – for the morning after, ahem, and Montezuma chocolate for a sugar hit in the cab home!

But there would be no party with no awards, and no awards without readers so it’s a big heartfelt THANK YOU from us to you for taking the time to vote and give your local favourites a pat on the back and showing your support for the Muddies. See you next year!

Your Sussex winners in full – give them all a round of applause!
