Wouldn’t You Though?

 beach1-720x480
Don’t be square this summer, get a round… a round beach towel that is. Whether you’re you’re laying it down on Sussex shingle or St Lucian sands, this cool new take on a classic is sure to turn heads.stretch_Fotor_Collage1

The ‘Dreamer’ is a huge, round beach towel, brand new to the UK and at 150cm across big enough for a family of four to sit on, or two to be wrapped in. There are six funky designs to choose from. At £75, admittedly they’re a bit of a luxury, but they are multi-functional – think somewhere between towel and picnic rug or even a poncho.

Even when the beach isn’t beckoning the towels can come in mighty useful in the back garden, out on picnics or even at festivals.

They feel heavy and well made with a velour backing that gives them a luxurious softness. And they arrive packaged in a cute linen drawstring bag – perfect for chucking in the back of the car for your glamping spree.

They’re also now available on the Muddy Boutique for £75 including postage

Some of the designs look nice, but I can’t help but think that in most of the situations in the photos provided a rectangular shape towel would be much more practical! In the first one, because of the round shape, it looks nice from the back, but there must be hardly any fabric at the front, so it’s more like a cape than a poncho. Two people huddled together next to each other… same thing! A rectangular shape would be perfect. The round one is completely useless below their bums, and again, hardly any fabric reaches their fronts. And the yoga by the pool or whatever… I think there is a reason yoga mats are rectangular…! Nice idea and maybe they are practical as four people to sit on in a round, but as that hasn’t been demonstrated by a photo, I’m thinking it’s not big enough for that purpose.

Agree about the yoga mat, think I’ll be sticking to my nice spongey long one. Nice for a picnic rug though.
