Boco by House Coren
Unlike other sparkling wines from England, Boco is produced using the Charmat method (the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in sealed tank rather than bottle), to preserve all the fruit flavour and subtle complexity that grapes in England are famous for. It’s great with shellfish, charcuterie, canapés and pizza , so perhaps the perfect Xmas Eve tipple. £26.
Bluebell Vinyard Hindleap Sparkling Ruby 2018
This lovely limited edition red sparker is made from 100% Merlot Grapes and has aromas of red cherry, raspberry and spice, which are met on the palate with a fine mousse and silky tannins (sounds fun!). It goes beautifully with cheese, so a Boxing Day beauty. £28.95.
Albourne Estate Sussex Rose
The prettiest of pinks, this delicate Rosé is elegant and refreshing (just like us!). Crisp on the palate with subtle aromas of summer fruits and rose petals, this wine from sustainable Albourne estate is perfect for sipping or food matching. A Christmas cracker for sure. £15.95.
Ridgeview Oak Reserve NV
Really push the boat out with this bad boy – crafted using 100% Chardonnay from vintages grown the Ditchling vineyard. It’s fresh and vibrant with notes of lemon sorbet, orchard blossom and tropical fruit, and a gorgeously creamy texture. It’s so indulgent well trained palates might even get a luxurious layer of salted butter, pastry, and toffee popcorn. Sounds just right with pudding to us! £75.
Bolney Estate Pinot Noir
Fans of the vin rouge will love this beautiful cool climate English Pinot Noir. This rich English red is well-balanced with ripe red fruits, coffee and smoky aromas, leather and earthy notes complement cherry and dark chocolate, with a complexity that makes this red perfect with rich a Xmas buffet or bubble and squeak anyone? £25
