Feeling peckish? You will be after scrolling through the freshly laurelled winners of the 2025 Great Taste Awards.&nbsp;



Run by The Guild of Fine Food, these gastro gongs are the equivalent of an Oscar if you’re in the business of tantalising tastebuds, and it’s no surprise to find this year’s roll of honour studded with Sussex stars.&nbsp;



Artisan chocolate, creamy cheeses and tempting tipples are among the products to have impressed a judging panel made up of over 500 chefs, restaurateurs, buyers, critics and food writers, who sample tens of thousands of entries. Yes, nice work if you can get it… But the tasting is blind, meaning they’re guided purely by flavour, texture and aroma – no cute label or nifty packaging is going to sway these culinary connoisseurs.&nbsp;



So what do the stars mean? One is simply delicious, a food that delivers fantastic flavour; two outstanding, above and beyond delicious; and three downright exquisite, the kind of extraordinarily tasty foods that you won’t want to leave a shop without buying. 



There&#8217;s just one question remaining: where to find a hamper big enough for all these local-hero products?&nbsp;
