<p>Despite the fact it’s owned by iconic 90s model, Jodie Kidd (who also took fellow fashion star, Abbey Clancy on a tour of the pub for her recent ITV celeb homes show) this stylish gastropub has a laidback vibe. True to Jodie’s love of horses, it has equine-inspired interiors that has proved culinary catnip for families for its laidback vibe and brilliant kids menu. For winter, there are roaring log fires and live music and tastings. Come the warmer months you can make the most of the pub garden under a large parasol. </p>

<p>While superstar Adele may not live in Sussex anymore, rumour has it she went to this pub, by Steyning. It’s no surprise she liked it. Publicity shy Adele would no doubt have been drawn to the countryside setting (there’s under 300 inhabitants of Ashurst). And we impinge the log fires, wine list and great menu were also a draw.  </p>

<p>Love him or loathe him, he is a Sussex local and Piers Morgan stays loyal to a proper British pub and his being The Royal Oak. He’s been seen having a pint at the bar of this pub that is famed for staying true to tradition. It has all the markings of a village pub, with character and real ales on tap too. They do a steak night as well as classic pub grub and they have a beer garden you’ll want to frequent come summer. </p>

<p>Before she swapped Lewes for the bright lights of Brighton near her ex Fatboy Slim, presenter Zoe Ball was rumoured to have been a regular at this pub. She was seen here with her family multiple times by fan and who can blame her? A former <a href="https://sussex.muddystilettos.co.uk/awards/">Muddy Awards</a> finalist, The Griffin INN has a garden so big it’s nicknamed the Serengeti with views of the South Downs. But things are equally as beautiful inside – it’s got all the traditional trimmings of an inn with a great menu. </p>

<p>Former Strictly Come Dancing star and YouTuber (your kids will certainly know her), praises this pub for its Sunday roast, regularly making the journey from her native Brighton into the countryside. Specialising in meat, the pub serves up special steak nights. You can even sign up to join the pub’s ‘tasting panel’ where you’ll get to try their latest experiments in the kitchen. Yum. </p>
