Gotta Have It
You can keep your Caipirinha, these traditional chocolate coated honey cakes are the real taste sensation from Brazil (via Sussex) and they'd make a great Mothers’ Day gift.
Heard of Pao del Mel? They are a taste sensation from Brazil that have just been introduced to Sussex by a small family business called Jamedu in Worthing and I’m wondering where they have been all my life.
Translating as ‘honey bread’, these are traditional cakes with a honey and spice centre and a high cocoa single origin dark chocolate coating – perfect for people like me who don’t like their treats over-sweet.
Jamedu sent us some samples and they were so eye-rollingly good I soon after gifted a set for a friend’s birthday.
Available by mail order in various size packages they come carefully boxed, padded and tied with ribbon – using eco-friendly materials where possible. If you or your recipient live in the Worthing BN11-14 or BN16 area, delivery is free. Jamedu also has a stall at Shoreham Artisan Market.
They’d make a great way to ring the changes from flowers this Mothers’ Day. They’re made fresh to order so allow a few days for delivery.
