Get them skating safely at this brilliant Youth Centre whatever the weather with courses available for ages 5-12. There are also activities for young people, with a focus on 13-19 age group including music production, DJ’ing and sport. Camp Rubicon also offers day and residential courses across the UK, with a day course in Cuckfield for skater boys (and girls!).

Sea Life Brighton, open year round

If the weather isn’t kind a day spent at this 150 year old aquarium on the sea front is always time well spent. Get them on an underwater journey and experience the ocean through the tunnel or marvel at the floor to ceiling viewing window!

Sky Park Farm, West Harting, open year round

Kids (and their grown-ups) will love walking the trail around this farm and meeting and feeding the beautiful red, white and sika deer, helped by a team of friendly Rangers. And there’s a brilliant Adventure Playground, with forts, slides and plenty of opportunities to clamber around and a lovely farm shop and cafe.

Head2Head Multi-Sensory Theatre, touring 4-22 April

Head2Head a disabilities theatre charity, has a new live multi-sensory performance for families in Sussex this April. Odie’s Odd Odyssey is set to tour schools in Worthing, Chichester, Horsham and Lewes in Sussex. Tickets are available to purchase online at just £5.

Family Easter Foraging Walk, Cowdray Estate, 10 April

On this family friendly spring guided walk you will be taken on a circular route from the Farm Shop to explore the range of plants found on the estate past the Cowdray castle ruins and around the banks of the Rother. Little ones who enjoy the books will love this Easter duck hunt with prizes to be won. Godstone Farm – just over the border in Surrey is always a great option for a full day with a farm trail, animal holding, rabbit walk, pond walk, Dinosaur Discovery Trail, Playbarn (soft play), Wiglet’s Play Village AND extensive outdoor play areas.
