<p>In an industry that often takes itself oh-so-seriously, Remember Monday has built a loyal following by blending powerhouse harmonies and savvy songwriting with a healthy dose of humour. And underpinning it all? The kind of friendship that can’t be faked. </p>



<p>Made up of Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele, the trio first met at sixth form college and have been singing together ever since. In 2019, they made it to the quarter-finals of The Voice, winning a champion in coach Jennifer Hudson and a fanbase that&#8217;s only grown in numbers and dedication. </p>



<p>One of the things that makes Remember Monday stand out, though, is the impossibility of pigeonholing them. They’re country-pop, West End musical theatre stars, Eurovision contestants – and they certainly know how to wow a festival crowd. </p>

Read on to find out how they navigate the highs (and lows) of music-making and why McFly are just the kind of guys you want on your side. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-you-always-look-like-they-re-having-far-more-fun-than-the-rest-of-us-do-you-ever-quarrel-nbsp"><strong>You always look like they&#8217;re having far more fun than the rest of us. Do you ever quarrel?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>You know what? We’re so close now that we can just read each other really quickly. If there’s a disagreement, we all know how to deal with every personality that each of us has – and we each have about 50! There’s never really been a time when it’s been touch and go, it’s just not like that with us. We work through it – we’re like each other’s therapist. We’ve been best friends but also business partners for years – it’s a really different dynamic when you’ve got that.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-have-you-learnt-along-the-way-nbsp"><strong>What have you learnt along the way?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>We’ve learnt to build a support system and business team around us that have our best interests at heart and just bring good vibes. We pride ourselves on the people we have on our team, and that’s advice we’d give to anyone else that’s trying to make in this industry. It’s so important to have a solid support system around you. Also, trust your gut. There have been times when the three of us have had a really strong opinion, and someone of higher experience and importance has led us astray.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-where-do-you-get-your-material-nbsp"><strong>Where do you get your material?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>We’ve been working on a larger body of work since the end of last year, and for that we’ve written with so many different teams of people. It’s great to get different flavours into different songs but we’ve had over 10 years of experience as this band now, and that shared life experience and humour and friendship is at the core of everything we write. Even if we’re working with a million different people, that’s at the heart of it. Our music feels so based on our friendship.&nbsp;</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-you-represented-the-uk-in-eurovision-2025-what-was-that-like-nbsp"><strong>You represented the UK in Eurovision 2025. What was that like?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>It was honestly the most crazy, amazing, strange experience. It was everything we wished it was and more. Being together the entire time, travelling constantly, singing in these massive arenas – we loved it and definitely look back in it with fond memories. It was obviously terrifying – you can’t think about the audience, you’ve just got to enjoy it. And again we had each other so it was great.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-you-re-supporting-headliners-mcfly-at-borde-hill-how-did-you-first-meet-the-band-nbsp"><strong>You&#8217;re supporting headliners McFly at Borde Hill. How did you first meet the band?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>We were playing Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium last year, and they were in the dressing room next to us. We just knocked on the door. Danny and Dougie run a side hustle called SideQuest which is a writing and production group. They invited us to write a song, we hit it off, and then they invited us to come on tour. This industry’s wild but they’ve really taken us under their wing and we can’t thank them enough for how much love they’ve shown us.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-music-industry-does-have-a-tough-reputation-especially-for-female-artists-what-s-your-experience-nbsp"><strong>The music industry does have a tough reputation, especially for female artists. What’s your experience?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>I think we’re in a bit of bubble because we have each other – if one of us is spirally, the others can call us back. There’s a never-ending moving goalpost so it’s difficult to ever feel, ah, I’ve done it, I can breathe. It makes you stay so motivated but the downside is there are such highs, and then, now what? I don’t know how anyone does it with a put-together band or on their own.&nbsp;</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-tell-us-about-your-musical-influences-nbsp"><strong>Tell us about your musical influences.&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>There are a lot of references to harmony work from big pop rock bands we grew up listening to, like The Eagles or Fleetwood Mac. We also love every single female artist that’s huge right now – we are right there with them. Pop music’s definitely having a bit of a resurgence with the ladies and it’s a really cool era to be part of. There’s so much humour in music these days, which didn’t feel the case 10 years ago, and that’s a really fun thing for us to play with. So Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, even RAYE. The people that we’re really inspired by at the minute are people that are finding their own path and not doing things that anyone else is already doing. We’re inspired by different people for every song we write.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-if-feels-as-if-genres-have-become-more-fluid-but-people-still-try-to-pigeonhole-remember-monday-how-have-you-felt-about-the-country-label-nbsp"><strong>If feels as if genres have become more fluid but people still try to pigeonhole Remember Monday. How have you felt about the country label?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>It’s tricky. We sing in three-part harmony, and it immediately makes everyone’s ears prick up and say, oh, it’s got a bit of a country twang, but we’re well aware that that’s not something we’ve grown up listening to or something that we authentically think we sound like at all.&nbsp;</p>



<p>We just write and record songs that we love and would love to listen to, and that covers a lot of genres. We don’t really care what genre the song is, so long as it’s a banger.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-did-you-all-grow-up-musical-nbsp"><strong>Did you all grow up musical?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>We’ve all grown up obsessed with it and obsessed with being on the stage. We were all those annoying little girls that just would perform in front of our parents. Our friends would come over and there’d be dance routines and full musical shows happening.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-how-do-you-find-outdoor-gigs-nbsp"><strong>How do you find outdoor gigs?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>I think the only difference is the lighting. We covered Unwritten at a gig and it started raining outside at ‘Feel the rain on your skin’ [check] and it was cool. When it rains I always feel sad for everyone but sometimes it’s cool. It’s quite nice having a bit of a view to look at when you’re on stage as well as the people if you’re getting a bit nervous. Last night there was a castle in the background.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-have-you-had-any-starstruck-moments-nbsp"><strong>Have you had any starstruck moments?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>So many! We’re horrific in those situations. Our most exciting one was meeting Reneé Rapp at Summertime Ball. We had a bit of a chat with her and a photo – we were trying so hard to be the coolest but I think we were way too much. We were just running around like competition winners. You bump into, like, Zara Larsson in the corridor. Will Smith walked past and was like ‘Great set ladies!’ and we were like ‘Thanks, William’. We played British Summer Time festival at Hyde Park in 2023 and didn’t realise that Joe Jonas was Billy Joel’s surprise guest. His dressing room was right next to us – we were sharing a wall. He walks out and wanders away and Holly just drops to the floor.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-inspires-you-nbsp"><strong>What inspires you?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>Each other.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-are-you-celebrity-enough-to-have-any-eccentric-dressing-room-requirements-nbsp"><strong>Are you celebrity enough to have any eccentric dressing room requirements?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>Honestly, we’re genuinely happy with snacks and a Diet Coke. We always ask for tea but we never drink it.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-can-you-share-anything-about-your-longer-term-projects-nbsp"><strong>Can you share anything about your longer term projects?&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>A lot of new music is on the way. We’re just perfecting it and are really excited about getting out into the world.&nbsp;</p>
