The Apprentice has been running for &#8211; wait for it &#8211; almost two decades, and each series there’s a fresh batch of business hopefuls ready to take out the competition at any cost. This year, Muddy’s eye is very much on local business woman and 2025 candidate, Melica Moshiri. But does she have what it takes to secure the £250,000 investment?



Here’s what we know so far.



Melica, 32, from Worthing, West Sussex runs an AI tech recruitment business known as Skill Torch and prides herself on starting a company during an economic downturn and turning a profit while securing investment too. Impressive.



She has her sights set on nabbing the top prize on The Apprentice and will she the cash to launch globally. Melica isn’t afraid of a challenge either, she’s plans to push herself and her skills.



She says, “Stepping out of my comfort zone with minimal technology on hand whilst showing how resilient, confident and creative I can be.”



The entrepreneur also has a passion for travel and when she’s not launching her own business and watching it grow, she loves to globetrot. Her Instagram looks like a travel album and her recent trips include to Vietnam, Cyprus, Italy, Turkey and France.



Excited for the series to air, she says, “I’ve been keeping this under wraps for what feels like forever… the limbo of waiting for this moment is over, and AHHH, I am so excited to finally share it! Out of approximately 80,000 applicants and after a series of intense audition rounds, I’ve been selected as a candidate on this year’s BBC The Apprentice Season 19.”



In keeping with The Apprentice mentality, she is super confident &#8211; as she should be &#8211; and adds, “Lord Sugar will be making a big mistake if he doesn’t invest in me.”
