This petite and pretty vineyard just outside of Brighton offers tours, tastings, contemporary art and terrific views of the South Downs.
Wine for every season is delivered in style at Artelium, exactly how Muddy like things to be! During the warmer months you can take a guided walk through the vineyards followed by the all-essential tasting best enjoyed outside in the sunshine. While in the depths of winter you can enjoy a delicious tasting indoors by their log burner.
The tasting room and wine bar has a cosy elegance where dogs and children feel included complete with a sofa and faux fur throws alongside large tables prime for ordering seasonal small plates to accompany Artelium’s delicious wines.
During the sunnier months you can sit outside in the courtyard and gaze out over the Sussex countryside while enjoying a glass, or two, of wine. It also serves as a Mecca for walkers who can meander from Plumpton Station, the South Downs or Ditchling towards Streat, ending up with the best reward of all: a glass of wine!
Their calendar is packed full of lovely events including a makers market where you can buy local artisan products and wine-themed activities. For those who want to learn more, you can take advantage of the guided 1.5 hour tour, or attend workshops or tastings which take place every Thursday to Saturday.
