Brighton is already a hub of creativity and to capitalise on this part of the South Coast’s personality, ArtPod was launched. Everyone is invited, but there are specific programmes aimed at bringing out the creative talents of children, young people, their families and vulnerable adults.

The studio sits by the sea on Rottingdean Beach, a little outside of Brighton with plenty of space surrounding it helping to inspire art projects.  The art classes and workshops focus on developing creative skills, knowledge and experience and employ a range of techniques, skills and innovation. But their classes do so much more than that! Aside from developing confidence they foster friendships, build social skills and can unlock new career potential as well as the improving mental wellbeing.

ArtPod are active locally, their creations have been on display at Leonardslee Illuminated – the festive lantern light show in Horsham  – as well as at the Brighton Lights at One Garden. Their magic touch comes alive at their many events, including their recent Christmas Grotto in Hove and the Brighton Winter Fyre Grotto.

The shop stocks art kits, eco-conscious beach goods and activities to ensure you and your family can continue to be creative at home and practice what you’ve learnt. There’s also the opportunity to admire and purchase work from local artists, reinforcing ArtPod’s commitment to building and nurturing the sense of community.

What makes ArtPod that extra bit special, is that the company actively work to break down barriers to creativity making art more accessible for families who may be facing economic challenges, those living in culturally deprived areas and individuals with SEN.
