Crowned the best Local Food & Drink Producer in the 2023 Muddy Awards, Cakes by Ashleigh is fabulously unique – whether you’re hosting a fifth birthday party or throwing a big wedding bash, she’ll craft a luxe cake to suit the occasion. We tried and tasted the goodies (then tasted again, just to be sure) at our Muddy Awards Winners’ event this year and can vouch that they were delicious and stole much of the paparazzi’s attention – they were stunning. 

With over 11 years of experience in the biz, Ashleigh specialises in bespoke buttercream bakes. All you have to do, other than scoffing down the final product, is provide the vision for your dessert (how many tiers, your preferred styles, colours, and quirky details) and pick from the extensive range of flavours. We opted for lemon shortbread, blueberry cheesecake cupcakes, black forest brownies, Eton mess blondies, and passionfruit meringue tarts. Then she’ll do the rest of the leg work.

If you’re feeding a whole wedding party, you can throw in cupcakes, individual favours for your tables and even book afternoon teas. You can be as playful as you please with the designs. Now, we never need an excuse to buy a three-tiered cake, but if you’re after a quick slice, Cakes by Ashleigh frequently pops up at local markets, so keep an eye on her socials. So, how was the cake?
