Welcome to Sussex’s ultimate do-it-all destination, set in an 18th Century coaching inn with beautiful grounds and gorgeous vistas.
First up – let’s go shopping. You’ll find a brilliant range of Indian and contemporary furniture, unique lighting and home accessories, as well as gifts. (It all began, incidentally, when owners Michael and Tracy began importing furniture and accessories from India in 1996.)
Worked up an appetite from all that shopping? Grab a drink and a bite to eat. But this is no ordinary cafe, nope, it’s the Cinderella of cafes.
After dark, the space transforms into an award-winning live music venue featuring concerts from world class artists (The Brand New Heavies, 80s legend Toyah Wilcox and Rick Wakeman have all stopped by to perform) in an intimate restaurant setting. Perfect for date night, a special occasion or for boosting that flagging social life.
While you’re feeling cultural, check out the gallery space created to showcase the work of internationally acclaimed local artist Roger Dean, best known for his iconic album covers and work with bands YES, ASIA and Focus.
And if you’re planning a big day or even the big day, you can hire the entire venue and grounds for a unique wedding or big occasion. Treat your guests to champers and canapes in the lovely courtyard and grounds, tie the knot in the atmospheric barn, and host dinner afterwards in elegant Indian marquees, landscaped lawns and decked cocktail areas. And for the evening bash, head to the restaurant complete with stage, dance floor and theatre quality sound and lighting.
