<p>Got a group shindig to organise? You have our sympathies. But the solution is right here. Gorgeous hotel, The Star, is shining bright this Christmas and is offering a Festive Lunch menu alongside the normal á la carte menu, available in advance for parties of six or more. The restaurant serves a menu of unfussy British dishes, with an Italian twist. You can also enjoy a hot drink in the pretty courtyard to admire the Christmas tree. </p>

<p>One for larger groups who like wine (erm, is there anyone who doesn’t?) these meals require a minimum of eight people who’ll be in for a feast. Set within 70 acres of rolling Sussex hills and woodlands this natural and biodynamic farm is dishing up a meal to remember. Highlights include Native lobster bisque as well as Tillingham wild venison pie and Chocolate Cremeux but there are lots of options for all tastes and dietary requirements. </p>

<p>This the new boutique hotel has got everyone talking and for all of the right reasons! The restaurant, art deco style bar and not one but two terraces all have stunning sea views. The Christmas menu is beautifully British and features prawn cocktail, confit duck leg,  a traditional toast turkey with all the trimmings, cod loin and braised beef cheek all rounded off with Christmas pudding, baked brie or chocolate mousse. You’ll be hard pushed to decide from that lot!</p>

<p>Farm to fork dining is pulled off with finesse here and you get to enjoy all of the estate’s wine too. We call that a winner. Their Christmas set menu features as much local produce as possible &#8211; including cured trout or game terrine for starters, and roast duck breast, cod loin or duo of pheasant for main. You’d be hard pushed to choose from the desserts too with a sponge pudding, local cheese and biscuits crumble or chocolate parfait. There are gluten free and vegan options available. You just need to book fast &#8211; the restaurant is open Thursday &#8211; Sunday. </p>

<p>If you’re in charge of the girls’ Christmas catch up this year then you may well want to do so in style by the sea. The hotel is hosting a special party with entertainment including Christmas anthems and hits as well as a disco (how retro) that goes on until midnight. If you can last that long in heels… The menu will include three courses of traditional classics. You’ll also be able to enjoy a little stroll along the beach and take some pictures before the light goes.</p>
