<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-depot-cinema-lewes"><strong><a href="https://lewesdepot.org/">Depot Cinema</a>, Lewes</strong></h3>



<p>This local gem has a bar and casual restaurant, with a decent section of wines &#8211; not that’s the only criteria, it also screens documentaries, art hours cinema as well as cult films and classics, including of course, Wicked. It’s right by Lewes train station meaning there’s ample parking. There’s no popcorn machine &#8211; just the packet stuff on sale, so you don’t get that gorgeous smell but there’s a lot less rustling while watching he film. </p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-duke-of-york-s-picturehouse-brighton"><a href="https://www.picturehouses.com/cinema/duke-of-york-s-picturehouse">Duke of York’s Picturehouse</a>, Brighton </h3>



<p>One of the oldest cinemas in the world, it has all the art deco touches, it’s petite with just one screen, a balcony and smaller entrance. You really feel as if you’re stepping back in time while at this Grade II listed building, but screen and sound quality aren’t compromised and you’ve all the modern tech to. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-hailsham-pavillion-eastbourne"><a href="https://hailshampavilion.co.uk/">Hailsham Pavillion</a>, Eastbourne</h3>



<p>After a brief stint as a bingo hall, it’s since been revived back to its former glory as an Edwardian auditorium with just 203 seats. Regularly run by volunteers, it hosts live music, theatre, and of course films. You’ll have to wait until 13 Dec to see Wicked here but it’s not too long to wait for the magical atmosphere of watching it in a golden age cinema. </p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-kino-rye"><strong><a href="https://www.kinodigital.co.uk/">Kino</a>, Rye</strong></h3>



<p>A petite cinema with plenty of character, it’s only got two screens, as well as an outdoor terrace for pre film drinks if the weather allows. The seats are surprisingly comfy, and it has state-of-the-art high definition digital projection and sound equipment. Fancy, eh? </p>

<p>Wicked is coming to Worthing and what better venue to do so than his opulent dome? It celebrated its centenary in 2011, so it’s an ageing beauty with pillars, chandeliers and stunning interiors. You’ll want to arrive a little early to see the screen before the lights go down and the film starts. </p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-picture-drome-bognor-regis"><a href="https://bognor-regis.picturedromecinemas.co.uk/">Picture Drome</a>, Bognor Regis </h3>



<p>With its iconic tower, you should really just come to this cinema to marvel at the building. It is of course also showing Wicked in the converted assembly rooms that have retained most of its original architecture since it was built in 1886. There are three screens and a very competitive ticket price &#8211; who needs the big cinema chains anyway? </p>

<p>They pretty much had us with the pre-order menu that is delivered straight to your seat, after all it features everything from dough balls to mezze, hot dogs to popcorn. In case that doesn’t convince you, the fact they’ll serve win to you while you watch your film should. And, can you believe they&#8217;ve special chairs with a foot rest and tray. </p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-orion-cinema-burgess-hill"><a href="https://www.orioncinema.com/">Orion cinema</a>, Burgess Hill</h3>



<p>Ticket prices are an absolute bargain, so you may have to spend a little more on drinks here to balance it out and support a small business. The cinema has an art facade to take a few pics for Instagram outside (when you’ve enough light). It’s got just two screens and they’re making sure one of those is showing Wicked. </p>

<p>Wow. Sink into the gorgeous indulgent arm chairs at this special cinema and make sure you have a pre-film drink on the covered terrace and lavish bar. You can also enjoy a pizza and wine in your seat and settle in to watch the highly anticipated screening of Wicked. </p>
