<p>Ok ok, so this technical does’t exactly get them away from screens but it does places them into a virtual reality world outside of their own bedroom. Expert gamers or those tentatively stepping into the tech world (read: parents) can jump into this multi player experience. You can book individually or for groups and you’ll be up against five other players and choose between a library of games suitable for different ages, skill sets and of course, personalities. </p>

<p>One for the animal lovers and those coming out of the tween phase, this alpaca smallholding runs hour-long walks through the West Sussex woods while keeping a friendly and furry alpaca company with some light exercise. The animals also provide therapy in local hospices and homes so being around these gentle creatures may help with any teen suffering low moods. You can book Weds-Sun for group sessions and you’l have to book a slot for everyone who wants to take part but why wouldn’t the entire family want to join in? </p>

<p>Oh wow, this is like hit ITV show <em>Total Wipeout, </em>the Sussex version. This is the new addition to the park and is a super sized inflatable assault course floating on the water. You can book in for hour-long slots and of course need to be able to swim 50m unaided. Great for anyone over 7 &#8211; yes, you can get involved too, just make sure you book in advance and check it’s open as in the cooler climes it won’t be open. Anyone over 12 can go unsupervised meaning you can head to the nearest bar &#8211; we recommend Chichester Marina. </p>

<p>Forget cowboys and Indians &#8211; let them finally get a taster of the real thing! These taster sessions are an intro into the world of shooting. The specialist tuition is aimed firstly at safety (of course) and then on technique and managing riffles. The special tutor led programme will hopefully sow the seed of this new hobby while kids get a strong understanding of shotgun management. </p>

<p>Before you panic about sending your kids off to get blasted by paintball, these sessions are specially designed for 10 years+ (there are different sessions for 15 years+ with higher impact). Kids can fire out water-soluble dye in a gelatine shell as they move through new terrain &#8211; forts, villages, trenches both natural and man-made. They can run off plenty of steam and adrenaline without the worry of any bruising. Sounds like a win win scenario to us! </p>

<p>Check this out. One track. Over three levels. Countless thrills and spills. Anyone into karting or wanting to give it a go, will be challenged in all of the right ways. In case you need to know or understand, there’s a collection of 200cc 40mph karts although you’ll be shown how to control speed.  There’s a snack bar too, to replenish after all the exertion and they cater for anyone coming solo or if there’s a larger group. </p>

<p>If your teen isn’t into team sports or actually any sport, then this may well be one for them. All abilities can thrive at a climbing wall especially when there’s a special special hub designed for 14+ who can try their hand (white literally) at bouldering and start to discover what the climbing craze is all about. But best of all they can meet other like minded kids and make some new mates while finding a new hobby.</p>

<p>Sure, they have Instagram and TikTok to watch the influencers do makeup but these private one-to-one tutorials are designed for your teen’s unique features and look. Led by makeup artist, Penny,  she’s got her finger and brushes firmly on the makeup pulse working as a writer and PR in the fashion, beauty and hair fields as well as specialising in wedding makeup. Her sessions for teens will be tailored to them and help with figuring out the right look and how to apply it.</p>

<p>Not known for being the coolest of sports, but when you factor in a boat ride too along the coast of Brighton surely they’ll be convinced? If not, you’ll have a blast and perhaps catch dinner. Leaving from Brighton Marina, this company run fishing trips March-Nov but you can also head out on other trips to the wind farm or jump on a rib boat if you’ve an adrenaline junkie type of teen. </p>

<p>Don’t panic, we’re not suggesting you send your teen to a bar, this venue is suitable for under 16s before 9pm although they must have an adult with them at all times. But trust us, with what’s on offer here you’ll want to stay. First up anyone 11+ can try their luck at augmented reality darts really a fun way to play the traditional game, as well as crazy golf, pool and shuffleboard with a bar serving diner style fried chicken, fries, burgers et al. They’ll love it while you have cocktail. </p>
