local news

Considering South Lodge is a former Muddy Awards finalist, it’s come as no surprise to us that they’ve had another impressive win. They’ve recently been listed as number 34 in the prestigious Top 50 Boutique Hotels guide, alongside The Gallivant, Rye and Gravetye Manor, West Hoathly who all made the rather glamorous cut. The awards paid special attention to South Lodge’s newly opened lakeside spa lodges, The Reeds, (with wild swimming options) and how the hotel integrates ‘seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.’ If you can’t factor in a stay this side of Christmas, Muddy recommends having a glass of fizz by the roaring fire at the bar before heading off to the light trail at Leonardslee lakes and Gardens opposite.
