<p>The latest Seed seeker trail at Wakehurst is going just in time for half term. This is an interactive experience taking the pages of the print publication of Nat Geo Kids into a real-life world where all senses can be activated. Not only will these interactive activities along the route engage younger minds in a new way, the kiddies can choose to don their capes and collect a special badge as they embark on a mission to learn and hopefully protect nature.</p>

<p>While you marvel at this gorgeous listed gardens, the kids can go on a quest to stop Adria the Wicked Witch from stealing all of the beautiful autumn colours in the gardens. You can pick up an&nbsp;activity book fill of tasks before the all-essential colouring in page at the end.&nbsp;</p>

<p>One for younger kids (3-8 years), they can dress up if they wish and head off to explore the garden on the story trail. They will help the detective discover what happened in this light hearted whodunnit. With interactive games and activities along the way, it’ll certainly kill a few hours. There’s also brief Halloween parties with a kids disco (30 Oct) and slime making (29 Oct) and even a reptile experience (28 Oct). Sounds fab!&nbsp;</p>

<p>A spooky atmosphere and heaps of fang-tastic fun are on offer at this small zoo and adventure park near Eastbourne. There’s a live action haunted house experience, spiders den, freaky photo opps, spooky witch to meet and Halloween decorations galore.&nbsp;</p>

The whole family (yes parents too) will enjoy this mini expedition around the garden. Over the week there will be drop-in children’s crafts and creative activities and Halloween costumes are encouraged. Kids also eat free in the One Kitchen cafe so you can treat yourself to that extra slice of cake girl math style.&nbsp;</p>

You’ll be able to watch witch trials while learning how in medieval times they’d try to uncover anyone dabbling in spells. There’ the chance to come face to face with ‘the devil’ and meet fairies too and don’t worry anyone who may be a little scared can print their own witch protection mark to ward off evil. After all of that you can all head out into the grounds to explore.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Get your offspring read for a full day of fun. These special camps (£30-£40 per day) are designed for 5-12 year olds who can get stuck into sports, crafts, games and some spooky Halloween activities. They may not be as impressed as you are, but it&#8217;ll also be in the beautiful surroundings of Lancing College. All abilities are welcome and the Activity Professionals, will make sure that every child is safe, having fun, and building a variety of skills. </p>

<p>In honour of the magical awe-inspiring ad frankly jaw-dropping new installation, Mars, at this local landmark, there’s a variety of things to keep the little blighters entertained. On 28 Oct during half term older siblings are invited to join the free storytelling for under 5s. On 26 Oct, there’s a family activity workshop where kids can make a spacecraft from recycled materials. But best of all, there’s a family trail to explore over half term week. You can visit every ‘planet’ in the solar system hidden in the city centre collect stamps and facts before ending at the cathedral. Thirsty for more space knowledge? Then bring the kids to one of the Mars in Orbit talk on 31 Oct from Astrophysicist Ian Hall, FRAS will explore questions like how and why are we looking for life on Mars.</p>

<p>As this is an evening events (7-8pm) and given the content, it’s only suitable for kids 8 and up and only if you’re brrrrrave enough! Living history specialist, Pail Ullson will take you on a tour around the Cowdray Ruins sharing details of ghostly goings on over the last 100 years. The ground will be a little uneven which will add to the exploration and you can pick up hot drinks at the visitor centre.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Stuck on what to do to keep your teen away from the phone? Sign them up for this virtual experience with expert tuition. For kids 12+ and over 1.5m tall (so they can comfortably recline into the stimulator) they can race against three other drivers on the historic circuit while get to tips and tricks from Goodwood instructors.&nbsp;</p>
