<p>Start off this month with the right type of bang, with this lovely evening at one of the best vineyards in Sussex. Award-winning guitarist, Will Scott, will start things off at 6.30pm serenading guests with everything from Spanish songs to Ibiza classics. You can of course enjoy the vineyard’s wine but try to take advantage of happy hour from 5-6pm and you can order pizza until 8pm.</p>

Held by designers Lara Gorlach and Kate Sellers they’ll happily share their passion for pattern and colour and help inspire you. Step by step the duo will guide you through the process of creating a hand-build mug and dish set as well as ensuring you explore the joys of decorative slip design.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Allow yourself to be serenaded by three voices from The Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne who will perform a collection of the most celebrated opera arias and duets. This is a charity event hosted by Rye Harbour Sailability, and Charles Palmer Vineyards are sponsoring the soiree, with all tickets including a glass of English sparkling wine and canapés from the Deli in Rye.&nbsp;</p>

You can admire sculptures, installation and live artwork, and engage with art and space in an entirely new way. There’s still the chance to check out evening viewings, a series of concerts, workshops and talks to get all of the family involved. Or, you can simply wander in and absorb the atmosphere and some thought-provoking art.</p>

For an added slice of glam there’s a Food Hall where you’ll be able to have a glass of Bolney English Sparkling as well as try out wreath making. Christmas stress getting too much? You can head to the wellness zone with yoga and Pilate classes. Best of all, all profits go to supporting two local charities.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sharpen those elbows, it’s time to bag that perfect Christmas gift. This fair is themed around gifts from arts and crafts specialists from across East Sussex. You’ll find everything from candles to ceramics but follow Muddy’s advice and stop by the Clay Studio’s stand where you’ll find gorgeous gifts. Christmas trees will be available to purchase and some stunning tree decorations. You can pick up a mince pie and mulled wine at the restaurant and courtyard or have a&nbsp; local gin or wine at the pop-up bar.&nbsp;</p>

<p>To be honest, this lovely vineyard had us at their welcome drink of hot chocolate with rum, but the event is actually all about shopping <em>and </em>sampling. For the evening you can cruise around the tasting tables to sample their wines and choose your selection for Christmas. After that you can look for gifts and stocking fillers &#8211; starting from £12.50 you’ll certainly make a dent in the Christmas shopping and enjoy yourself while doing so.</p>

This month the spotlight is on venison, (there are veggie alternatives) that’s grown on the Cowdray Estate. You’ll start with a sloe gin cocktail, then enjoy a start of venison carpaccio, pan seared venison loin for main and poached pear for dessert. Just make sure you arrive hungry!</p>

<p>It’s back… with bells on. The transfixing light trail, Glow Wild, returns to Wakehurst’s wild gardens for another awe-inspiring light-themed trail over the Christmas period. The gardens in the Sussex High Weald play host to an illuminated installation of over 1,000 hand crafted lanterns and bespoke art installations including a giant owl soaring about the glittering lawns below to a dragon and floating water display – there’s something to capture everyone’s interest and imagination.</p>

Local astronomer Dr John Mason MBE will guide you through the familiar and the foreign. He’ll also share the myths and legends around everything nighttime sky related be is satellites, shooting stars and of course, the planets. Cowdray is set in the South Downs so light pollution should be minimal meaning you can catch all the constellations. Just don’t forget the binoculars.&nbsp;</p>

Little ones can try their hand at a chocolate decorating workshop although not guarantees how long they can wait to eat it after!&nbsp;</p>
