<p>Sunset Cinema is back! Just pop on your Bluetooth headphones, relax back on a deckchair and enjoy iconic blockbusters and family faves, over the water and under the stars. It all kicks off this Wednesday with <em>Grease.</em> </p>

<p>Open weekends only. View the gorgeous remains of a genuine Roman home, complete with world-class mosaics. A new addition this year is the amazing 12-acre Maize Maze, packed full of fun twists and turns, which will be open from 4 August. There’s no timed ticketing system but do read the information on the website before visiting. The tearoom is also open for cakes and hot and cold drinks.</p>

<p>Here’s a chance to see Amberley Museum’s first sculpture exhibition – which opened just weeks before lockdown. Fortunately it’s been extended to early November so there’s plenty of time to admire the collection of 36 sculptures throughout the 36-acre site of this former quarry, now a heritage-steeped museum. All the work has been created by artists across the South and there’s a downloadable map of the trail&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.amberleymuseum.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Sculpture-Trail-Map-Amberley-Museum.pdf" target="_blank">here</a>. The museum is currently open Wednesdays – Sundays and you must book your date and time slot online.</p>

<p>Step aside, David Attenborough, there are two new kids on the block. This hilarious family show follows two idiots in their attempt to repopulate the sea and save the oceans. Featuring swashbuckling swordfish, hammerhead and spannerhead sharks and all the nasty things that lurk at the bottom of the sea, this is a side-splitting adventure for all ages. Shown at a purpose-built outdoor venue on Brighton beach, as part of The Warren&#8217;s Outdoor season.</p>

<p>A flick for £6? We&#8217;ll race you to the box office! It&#8217;s the Capitol&#8217;s way of welcoming everybody back after a long, looooong lockdown. This week our pics are singalong family faves <em>Frozen II</em> (we just can&#8217;t, er, Let It Go) and the heartwarming tale of friendship, womanhood and love during World War II, <em>Summerland</em>, starring Gemma Arterton. The Bond girl puts in a stellar performance in this visually delicious big-screen treat. </p>

<p>Shoreham Art Gallery’s guest artist for August is ceramicist Angela Evans. Her work is inspired by her home and studio in Brighton, and the surrounding coast and downs. She uses plaster to capture texture and form, and found objects for creating patterns and marks. Nature and landscape lovers will want to check out her work.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><a href="https://brightonmuseums.org.uk/royalpavilion/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Royal Pavilion</a>, Brighton, through August</h2>



<p>The Royal Pavilion has re-opened to visitors and is open daily from 10am to 4pm. Tickets must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. This unique building, built as a seaside pleasure palace for King George IV, is a mixture of Regency grandeur and visual style drawn from India and China.</p>

<p>Chichester Festival Theatre did brilliantly during lockdown putting on virtual arts, crafts and family activities and now the doors are open once more you can take part in person! There are craft sessions including origami and mask-making for younger tots (aged 4-8) and arts, music and stories for the older ones (8-12s) plus family scavenger hunts. </p>

<p>Choo choo! The Bluebell Railway is reopening on August 7 and you can book tickets for family days out and rides on this unique, heritage-steeped steam railway. To celebrate its 60th anniversary, book an evening of fine dining aboard the Blue Belle. Tuck into a three-course meal while you chug steadily through the Sussex countryside aboard a historic steam train. </p>
