<p>Co working aint going nowhere sista, well, by the looks of things it doesn’t appear to be. Worse case scenario the future looks at the very least like it’s going to stay hybrid. But finding the right solution to keep motivated while ‘working from home’ is no mean feat. There are days when the spare room, log cabin or desk amid family chaos isn’t going to cut it. Which is why Muddy has searched for the solution, these spots are places you actually want to be, but can also get work done. Whether it’s a place to brainstorm your side hustle, do some emails after the school run or work an eight-hour stretch this is where you want to do it from. </p>

<p>Want to set up camp in the bright lights of Brighton? Whether you’re local or have errands to run in the city there’s really only one choice. The Sea Lanes has a laid back LA surfer vibe with Fika providing the coffee, cake and toasted sarnies and Bison offering a fully stocked bar with huts open at selected times serving pizzas and snacks. There’s plenty of benches outside with parasols on sunnier days as well as a large roof terrace with some huts for shade, especially for screens, as well as a large area inside. The wifi is Iron Man strong and you can order from the QR code on your seat so you don’t have to constantly pack up your bits to order another coffee.There’s a freelancer club on Mondays flat fee for coffee and pastries, oh and impressive views of the beach, sea and outdoor pool. </p>

<p>Sitting pretty on the Sussex / Kent border is Filmwell Park a pioneering new mixed-use centre a surrounded by a woodland wonderland of 46 acres of birch and chestnuts trees. It’s also host to a co-working space where you’ve the option to hot desk for half or full days, keep your own desk and book private booths. It’s got everything you’d expect from a co-working spot, but the real magic here is that every building is built on stilts overlooking the trees. Just make sure you head to <a href="https://sussex.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/review-birchwood-restaurant-filmwell-park-ticehurst/">Birchwood</a> for lunch, it’s divine. </p>

<p>Wait, isn’t this a gym? Well technically that’s true, but this members only location is so much more. While it has a gorgeous spa (hello sending emails from a lounger by the pool) as well as all the latest fitness equipment (hello, brainstorming on the treadmill) it’s also a co-working space. There’s a café where you can take the laptop but there are plenty of quiet spots to do video calls with little nooks hidden away. It’s housed in a converted church, with huge arches and windows meaning there’s lots of light let in to keep you feeling inspired. </p>

<p>Located opposite the rolling sand dunes of Camber Sands (quite possibly the most beautiful beach on the South Coast) this boutique hotel offers a special remote office overnight package (Sun-Thurs) where you’ll have a table reserved, with a power point and secure wifi, in a quiet spot but close enough to the bar for a complimentary sundowner at 5.30pm. If you choose to start early you can join in with an 8am yoga class or go for a lunch break jog on the beach. While you can take your laptop and work in the hotel’s sitting room for a few hours, as soon as you arrive you’ll want to stay the night, trust us!</p>

<p>When it’s been dubbed the ‘ultimate do-it-all destination’ it’s hardly surprising then that this venue offers co-working and caffeine in one spot. But that’s to all, set in an 18th Century coaching inn you can take advantage of beautiful grounds and gorgeous vistas as well as good wifi. If you don’t mind background buzz then you can set yourself up in the cafe which has a great menu and is a beautiful setting. At night the café transforms into a live music venue so on the right date you can power up with work before having a wine and some jazz after. Gorgeous. </p>

<p>It can be hard to carve out some calm in the buzz of things in Haywards Heath &#8211; while Waitrose has wifi it’s a busy hub. So take a little stroll up away from the station and head to former Muddy Award finalist, Hart Country Stores. They’re super passionate about keeping things local (music to our Muddy ears) with their coffee roasted locally and their baked goods selected from all over Sussex. Wait, we know you need to work too, the tables are a little lower so we’d suggest this is best for a few hours of stopping by as opposed to a full on day or work but there’s the right ambience here, as well as delicious food. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-west-sussex"><strong>WEST SUSSEX</strong></h2>

<p>Before you scroll past what you think looks like a pub, hold fire because this is a pub with a dedicated workspace. You can pre book a designated quiet spot with all the wifi and power sockets you demand as well as being around people and in a happy environment. The staff will be on hand to bring you drinks and you can take advantage of unlimited coffee for £10 as well as lunch offers. It’s right by Victoria Park and the sea is 15 minute walk away, so when you need a break and to get into nature, it’s on the doorstep. </p>

<p>While we don’t fully advocated wine-ing while you work, you can certainly enjoy a glass afterwards as your reward. This punchy, new vineyard likes to keep busy and do it all, not just make wine! There’s a restaurant you can sit in or on sunnier days head outside and sit at your laptop overlooking the vines. The wifi may not be as reliable as you need, so if you’ve a day without any Zoom calls and you want the headspace to fully concentrate on the task in hand then this is your spot. </p>

<p>Open Weds-Sat, this little spot is ideal for people watching (local author Helen Fields like to write her novels here) but it’s also a cosy hideaway to get your head down. They’ve good wifi and open at 9am so if you prefer to front load your working day you can snap to it here as well as treat yourself to the freshly baked pastries &#8211; their bakery is in the basement.  One more for colder days, you can set up your tech and enjoy the vibes. </p>
