<p><a href="https://www.tastefilm.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Taste Film</a> is bringing its immersive cinematic experience to Brighton this autumn. Following sell-out evenings in London, Manchester and Edinburgh, it’s bound for a residency at Harbour Hotel, where it’ll be pairing hit films with themed 5-course menus. Using food to bring fans still closer to their favourite movies, it’ll dish up food that brings each iconic to lip-smacking, tastebud-tingling life. First up, Ratatouille. That one seems a natural for noshing to but how about Pulp Fiction, scheduled for Nov? We hear there’ll be adrenaline ‘shots’, the legendary $5 Shake and a briefcase full of delicious mystery.&nbsp;</p>

<p><a href="https://www.bluewater.co.uk/en/news-listing-page/next-opening" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bluewater</a>&nbsp;is opening a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluewater.co.uk/en/news-listing-page/next-opening" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">brand-new NEXT</a>&nbsp;store this summer, with the retailer opening its largest ever UK store on&nbsp;Thu 30 July, taking over the former House of Fraser space. The ginormous 83,000 sq ft store (imagine 40&nbsp;average-sized homes sandwiched together) will offer that rare thing – a hands-on, tactile shopping experience, including an upgraded 20,000 sq ft Home department. Hello new living room makeover.</p>



<p>Get to actually see and touch the gorgeous wares – featuring room sets from top brands including Laura Ashley, MADE and Rockett St George. You can also look forward to the first-time popular Seraphine maternity brand launches within NEXT. This is all alongside new Bath &amp; Body Works and Costa Coffee spaces. Basically we’re talking the Mothership – a major new destination for fashion, interiors and lifestyle shopping within easy popping distance of Sussex – and we’re fully here for it. </p>

<p>Another Muddy finalist has a new neighbour – and it’s already attracting some starry attention. Taith, the Lewes coffee shop serving South Downs views alongside its house-roasted brews, has been joined in what’s fast becoming the town’s arts and crafts quarter (hello, Edwards &amp; Todd and the Tom Paine Printing Press &amp; Gallery!) by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/liefcollectivelewes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lief Collective</a>. The space brings together local artists and makers offering everything from fashion and jewellery to prints and in its first few weeks has already welcomed A-lister Emma Thompson.&nbsp;</p>

You can get ahead of the game over the summer with Sussex’s only floating soundbath at Swanborough Lakes. Tickets are now on sale for sessions on 28 Jul and 20 and 25 Aug, all run by <a href="https://thenomadicsauna.as.me/schedule/acea294a/?locations=Swanborough%20lakes%2C%20BN7%203NF" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nomadic Sauna</a>. Float through a restorative lake soundscape then deepen your relaxation with a wood-fired sauna followed by a cold plunge. Round off with mushroom cacao and an energy ball. There are goody bags, too! We’re also eying another inspired wellbeing combo: the <a href="https://www.hshotels.co.uk/bailiffscourt/offers/events/yoga-and-song-day-retreat" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Yoga &amp; Song Day Retreat</a> over at Bailiffscourt Hotel on 25 Aug, featuring a stirring acoustic singing class in The Chapel plus a soothing Vinyasa yoga session. Oms never sounded so tuneful!&nbsp;</p>

<p>Something sweet to finish with? Congratulations to Muddy Award finalist <a href="https://www.catburglardoughco.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cat Burglar Dough Co</a>. The vegan-friendly doughnut doyennes may have been pipped to the post by chocolatiers Noble and Stace but champagne corks will have been popping all the same as the company opened its first shop (with coffee!) after 5-plus years in business. You can check it out for yourself if you’re heading over towards Ferring, where they sold 468 doughnuts and 114 cinnamon buns in week one. Fun fact: their new bricks-and-mortar home used to be part of Cooper Garages, owned by one John Cooper, cofounder of the Mini Cooper makers. He also built the first successful rear-engine F1 racing cars – motorsport themed doughnuts, anyone? </p>
