<p>you can dine in serious style overlooking the Tillingham valley and watching the sheep grazing. But lets talk food first, you’ll start with canapés in the open-fire kitchen before a dinner of sharing boards of slow-cooked, home-reared lamb, hogget and beef. It’s not just the food though, you can try the punch made from homegrown fruits including from the orchard on the farm as well as order a locally brewed beer and Sussex sparkling Sussex. The next events are 6 and 20 Sept but you can pick your own here, when in season of course, as well as head to the café.</p>

<p>Supper Clubs, roasts and private dining are all delivered at this converted barn on family-run Heaven Farm. Considering the family have been farming in Sussex for over 300 years it’s no surprise here that the food is incredible. They host special themed nights with either a pork chicken or beef theme with the menu focusing on featuring that particular meat in each course. There’s also Indian themed game nights with a top notch menu. Or you can go with all the family for a local roast.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This charming country pub has its very own organic farm so it’s no surprise that you can tuck into<br>local, ethical and sustainably sourced meals that are delicious too. The menu features Jevington Farm lamb faggot, steak, beef burger as well as baked mackerel and you’ll want to order a side of the Jevington Farm potatoes. While the menu changes frequently you’ll be thrilled with the offering and it’s family friendly with a children’s menu too.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Part of the Buckhurst Estate, much of the menu at this country pub features meat from the estate including beef from the Buckhurst Pedigree Sussex Herd. The sausages have also been made according to Lord De La Warr’s favourite recipe &#8211; meaning a lot of local knowledge and produce goes into every bite. The menu has been crafted to combine classic dishes with a modern punch but everything is local and quite frankly, delicious.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The sustainable flagship restaurant at the Goodwood Hotel&nbsp; has the clue in its name. The dining ethos is simple – there’s zero precent waste, one hundred percent taste. &nbsp;The venue’s butcher and chef work in tandem to ensure every part of the animal is used to achieve the very best yield from the estate’s livestock.A menu highlight is the butcher’s board, a showcase of lamb, beef and pork (all reared on the estate). You can also toast to sustainability with cocktails that embrace nature such as a refreshing grapefruit and thyme spritzer. Delicious!</p>

<p>Former Muddy Award winner, The Cowdray Farm Shop &amp; Café is a foodie’s emporium selling locally sourced produce as well as award-winning Estate-stalked venison, lamb and beef reared on Cowdray land. But the proof is in the taste which is why you’ll want to try their baked goods at the café made from the Estate’s pastry chefs.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier this year, the restaurant won the impressive accolade of a Michelin Green Star &#8211; the first restaurants in West Sussex to achieve this. Wow. And it’s for good reason, the ingredients are foraged from the Grade I listed (and quite frankly gorgeous) Leonardslee Lakes Garden spanning 240 acres. In addition, the restaurant uses food sourced from Sussex’s finest local producers with a menu that of course changes with the seasons.</p>

<p>While the farm isn’t officially on site, everything dished up at this location is locally produced from a farm less than a mile away. That’s not all, each dish is designed around the estate’s produce be it their wine, honey or what&#8217;s grown in the kitchen garden and greenhouse. You can combine things with a vineyard tour and a tasting too of course, then retire to the balcony for front row seats with views stretching out across the vines. </p>
